Matt Brown, RPT
Matt Brown is a second-generation piano rebuilder and technician with over 30 years experience. He started learning the trade at the age of seven. At eight years old, he helped string his first piano under the watchful eye of his father, Glenn Brown. Matt has tuned pianos for Kenny G, Steve Winwood, and Ben Folds. The most extravagant piano that Matt has worked on is the 1905 Steinway Art Grand Piano. The restoration of included rebuilding and refinishing the sound board, making a new pinblock, veneer repair, restoration of the decorative marquetry, and refinishing.
